So if turning off the GFX in-game overlay doesn't fix it for you, look for others application that can potentially handle raw inputs as well (i.e custom software from joysticks manufacturers like Saitek/Logitech). nVIDIA GeForce Experience (GFX) is probably the most common one in term of installation base while being the one that nobody suspect to handle joysticks raw inputs. So therefore, ANY application that has the ability to request and handle raw inputs from joysticks (and grabbing them at all times like GFX), are potentially preventing Windows from entering idle state and therefore, blocking sleep mode / screen off. The issues seem to stem from how Windows handling raw input requests from application. I thought I would share this to the communities, especially the fellow flight simmers that have tons of stuffs plugged in and happen to have an OLED screen. (this is still happening as of Oct 2022, with Windows 11 21H2 and GeForce Experience 3.26.0.131) You unplug ALL joysticks off your system.You turn off nVIDIA GeForce Experience in-game overlay.TL:DR, if you have nVIDIA GPU + nVIDIA GeForce Experience installed + have any kind of joystick plugged into the system, Windows won't be able to sleep/turn screen off automatically until either: Turned out, there is a bug in nVIDIA experience, down in the Windows driver level that would prevent the system from being idle, if you have a joystick plugged in (the article goes a bit deeper into details, it is very interesting if you are a software development related kind of person). I found out about this after getting fed up over massive lag spikes, fps and constant memory leaks while running poorjoy's with my friends.
